His comments came at an event held to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the board downstairs the Government Headquarters this week.

Meantime, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing, Reginald Severin, says Dominica’s housing sector is in need of modern, efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet the growing demand for affordable housing.
Speaking also at the 69th anniversary of the Government Housing Loans Board, Severin said challenges such as housing affordability, access to land, rising construction costs and delays in obtaining building permits, continue to hinder the sector’s development, stressing that the Board must embrace innovation to meet the demands of a changing economy.
