President of the Dominica Amateur Radio Club, Joseph Raymond says reports from Anguilla are not encouraging.
The Dominica Amateur Radio Club, forms part of the Caribbean emergency and weather net system and they have been successful in making contact with their Anguillan counterparts.
Raymond says they are currently attempting to establish contacts with Ham Radio operators in the other islands affected by Hurricane Irma.
The President added that Hurricane Irma has highlighted the importance of the Ham radio movement in establishing communications during disasters.
