A member of the National Under-16 Netball training squad, Éliz Charles, says the demanding preparation programme is already yielding positive results as she works toward selection on the final team for the Caribbean Youth Jean Pierre Under-16 Netball Tournament.
The North East Comprehensive School student described the training sessions as “very intense,” noting a strong emphasis on fitness and structured drills aimed at improving the players’ overall performance and readiness for regional competition.
Charles believes the rigorous programme is helping the athletes sharpen their skills and mental toughness as the countdown continues to the announcement of the final squad.

Another member of the training squad, Curvriah John, also admitted that the sessions have been challenging, but says the demanding nature of the programme is helping to push players beyond their limits as they prepare for the regional competition.
