National Forward and Sagicor South East front man Javid George has copped the DFA Male player of the year award for 2022.
The 24 year old George got the award at the DFA’s Prize giving ceremony for 2022 on the weekend.
George had an outstanding 2022, as he guided Sagicor South east to the Patrick John Cup title.
He was also named the best striker in the partick john cup, the tournament MVP and shared the golden boot award with Justin Casimir of Petro Caribe.
George says he is honored to have won the footballer of the year award.
Dante challenger was named the best goal keeper in the Patrick john cup,
Eustace Marshall the best defender
And Derkel eron prince the best midfielder.
Sagicor South east were the champion team in that tournament.
Meantime National midfield Audel Laville was named best striker, and MVP of the president’s cup.
He also won the golden boot.
Rallyson Pascal was judged best goal keeper, Mosiah Bonney the best defender, and Starel Seraphine best midfieler.
Connect 767 East Central were the champions of the president’s cup.
Other awards handed out on the weekend
Official of the year was Clyde Cadette.
Emerging female player of the year alyan George.
And Most promising female youth player lemaya forde.
Jaydian Lockhart was MVP of the central cooperative credit union boys under 15 tournament.
Meantime Featured speaker former Minister for sports Ron Green reminded the players that discipline is one of the key ingredients for success.
