Health Minister, Dr. Kenneth Darroux says the contribution of the late Cuban President Fidel Castro to the education sector in the region should not go unnoticed.

The Health Minister says while Cuba may not have financed many infrastructural projects, their contributions in the fields of education especially in medicine and engineering, has had a significant impact in Dominica and the rest of the region.

He says Cuba’s assistance came at a time when there were very little other scholarship options available.
