Lawyer Gildon Richards sees need for a fixed election date

Dominican lawyer Gildon Richards says electoral reform should make provision for a fixed date for general election every five years.

His remarks came during the first of a series of consultations to discuss the report by Sir Dennis Byron on electoral reform.

The consultations opened at the State House Conference Centre last night for Dominican lawyers.

The electoral reform consultations continue tonight for political parties and independent candidates.
