Major Changes Announced to Dominica’s Income Tax System

Finance Minister Dr. Irving Mcintrye has announced major changes to Dominica’s income tax system as Government moves to provide relief to the country’s working population

In his 2026-2027 budget presentation in Parliament, Dr McIntrye said the income rates will be replaced by a single flat rate of 1O per cent effective Jan 1, 2O27.

He said a set of goods which were VAT and import duty free will  get an extension for the next two months.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said the 1.24 billion dollar budget presented to Parliament was well crafted to respond to the realities of the world.
