Mayor of Roseau, Her worship Irene John plans to tackle the issue of parking space in the city if she is re-elected to the position.

Roseau City Council elections are set to take place on November 14.

The mayor says there are other priority areas on her agenda.

Her worship also vowed to continue to address the issue of fish vending in the city.

John was elected unopposed, at the first meeting of the Roseau City Council since elections were held on November 18, 2013.

She was then a retired public servant, elected by her fellow councilors.

John replaced outgoing Mayor, Cecil Joseph who had held the position for the last 12 years.

Joseph did not contest the Roseau city Council elections.

The Council was sworn in on Friday Dec 13, 2013.
