MP for the Roseau Central Constituency Melissa Skerrit has committed to working with the Lupus Foundation of Dominica towards making healthcare more accessible and affordable for persons affected by the disease.
Mrs. Skerrit made the remarks while addressing a press conference at UWI’s auditorium this morning to mark the 20th annual World Lupus Day.
The day was observed under the theme “Make Lupus Visible Support a Purple Butterfly”.
Meantime President of the Lupus Foundation of Dominica Glorine Thomas called on persons suffering from lupus to speak out and seek help.
