Ministry of Agriculture raises concern with dumping of soil along the coast line

An official in the Ministry of Agriculture has raised concern with the dumping of soil along the coast line.

Soil scientist Dr. Al-Mario Casimir says the dumping of soil on the coastlines of Dominica post Hurricane Maria will have a negative impact on the marine ecosystem.

He says the practice could threaten a number of Dominica’s aquatic life.

Meantime Dr Casimir says there are some positive signs that Dominica’s rain forests and soils are recovering post Hurricane Maria.
