Religious leaders, Trade Unionists and representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations will come together on Wednesday, for a National Consultation aimed at fostering ties between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and various stakeholders.
Senior staff of the Ministry along with the Ministry of Justice, Immigration and National Security will also be in attendance.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs Helen Royer says it is necessary to work closer with these stakeholders in order to address social ills.
The theme of the consultation is “Resilient Families and Strong Communities”.
The panel will include President of the National Youth Council of Dominica Paul Baron, Drug Prevention Officer Malcolm St Rose, Lay Associate in Pastoral Care Davis Letang, Chief Magistrate Candia Carrette, and Pastor Ernest Pendenque.
The National Consultation will be held at the Goodwill Parish Hall at 8:30 am.
