Secretary General of the Water Front and Allied Workers Union, Kertiste Augustus says his Union is concerned with attempts by some employers to force employees to work on Sunday as an ordinary working day.
Augustus says Sunday by law is a public holiday and by law workers are entitled to a double-day pay.
He says the actions of these employers are in violation of the law.
He says the union’s maintains its position that Sunday is a public holiday.
