National U17 Footballer Peyton James Confident Dominica Can Perform at CONCACAF U17 Qualifiers

National Under-17 footballer, Peyton James, believes Dominica has the quality and potential to perform well at the upcoming CONCACAF Under-17 Qualifiers, which gets underway on Thursday, February 5th in Panama.

James, one of three overseas-based players named in the Dominican squad, currently plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) club Houston Dynamo in the United States. He says representing Dominica at the international level is both an honour and a privilege.

Dominica has been drawn in a challenging group alongside Anguilla, Nicaragua, and host nation Panama.

The young national side will open their campaign against Panama on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

The full squad comprises goalkeepers; Aiden Burton, Drecoi Alexander, and Edrick Augustine.

The defenders are; Asaph Bannis, Ellon Nyann Pascal, Kerjuan Harris, Jayvon Ricardo Hamilton, and Meddie Zamore.

Midfield duties will be handled by Caleb Dangleben, Carlique Prevost, Che Joseph Etienne, Dwight Walsh, Eion Oscar, Peyton James, Jayan Sanchez Lockhart, Mario T-Jay Lewis, Shirquan Gustave, and Neron Abraham.

Leading the attack are forwards; Jah-Mal Alexis, Roqson Coipel, and Taran George.
