New date set for the Rodman Moses Lewis sentencing

A new date has been set for the sentencing of Rodman Moses Lewis
who was found guilty with the murder of his child’s mother, Trecia
Riviere on November 3, 2015.
Mr. Lewis will return to court on the 4 th of May to learn his fate.
Sentencing was adjourned for the second time because of the
unavailability of the psychiatric evaluation and report which are required
before sentencing.
Dr Nadia Wallace and Dr Griffin Benjamin have been asked to conduct
the evaluation of Mr. Lewis and file their report to the court by the 7 th of
April, before he is sentenced on May 4 th .
On Tuesday, High Court Judge Wynant Adrian Roberts expressed
disappointment that the matter was being delayed because of the
unavailability of the psychiatric report.
After Mr. Lewis was found guilty in December 2020, the state said it
would pursue the death penalty.
