New Eye Care Program for Students Dubbed a Lifetime Investment

Education Minister Peter St Jean has described the “Eye can see clearly now” project as a lifetime investment in the future of the country.

The eye project which targets every student across Dominica officially started today.

The project which provides free eye screening and free glasses in cases where required will cost the government in the region of one Million dollars.

Technical assistance will also be provided from a team of eye specialists from CUBA.

Primary school students will be targeted in the first instance.
