Media practitioners in Dominica have taken a step towards the formation of a new association to represent their interests.
Representatives of various Media Houses in Dominica met on Saturday 26, august, 2017 at the Media Center of the Windsor Park and the Dominica Press Corps was officially launched. The Interim Executive has been mandated to prepare a constitution and put things in place for the staging of its first Annual General Meeting at a date to be announced.
Media personnel were previously represented by the Media Workers Association of Dominica (MWAD). MWAD however has been dormant for the past few years.
The New Dominica Press corps already has close to 50 members.
