Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says nine years ago, on the night of September 18, 2017, Dominica went through hell however nine years later the road to a truly climate-resilient country continues, strengthened by the collective spirit of the people.
The Prime Minister issued a statement in Parliament today on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the passage of Category 5 Hurricane Maria.
The Prime Minister said Hurricane Maria destroyed 100 percent of Dominica’s agriculture.
Prime Minister Skerrit says those who thought the country would never recover underestimated the Dominican people.
