Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal, Her Ladyship Janice Pereira, has called on the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) member states to provide adequate funding to the judiciary.
She told the opening of the 2016 new law year via simulcast from St. Lucia this morning, the state of some court buildings in the OECS, discourages proper access to justice.
The Chief Justice said she is disappointed that the Halls of Justice project for the islands has not materialized after several years.
