Senior police and prison officers are being sensitized on the OECS/USAID Juvenile Justice Reform Project.
The program geared at reducing recidivism rates among youth offenders, to increase the chances of youth who have had run-ins with the law and to transform themselves into citizens that contribute positively to society was launched in Dominica last June.
The Juvenile Justice Reform program will be conducted in partnership with six independent OECS countries; Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Vincent.
The officers are meeting at police headquarters over the next few days.
