A founder of the First Serenade band of Point Mitchel Adrien Mitchel AKA Archie has passed at the age of 53 on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021.
Mitchel was also a music arranger, composer, and bass guitarist.
Manager of First Serenade Band, Carlton Winston said Dominica has lost a great musician.
“Yes, we are mourning the passing of Adrien Mitchel, who was a fantastic bass player and who contributed significantly to Dominica’s music.”
Winston went on to say, “Mitchel was a founding member of the first serenade band, a great base player good songwriter in the genres of bouyon, but he was strongest in cadence lypso and those infectious baselines he used to play.”
“That man did a lot of music in Dominica he has gone to a better place.”
Winston further stated that Mitchel will be greatly missed by fans and the members of the musical community in Dominica.
