Mayor of Portsmouth His Worship Titus Francis has called for a ban on styrofoam in Dominica.
Francis told the northern District youth rally at Portsmouth on Monday, there needs to be a greater commitment to protecting the environment.
The youth rally for schools in the north took place on Monday in Portsmouth as part of Dominica’s independence celebrations.
During the event speeches were given by various officials and deserving students were awarded for their scholarly achievement.
There was also a parade by various schools.
