President of the Dominica Business Condemns Tuesday’s Attacks on Local Businesses

President of the Dominica Business Forum Severin McKenzie says the business community is shocked by the attack against certain businesses in Roseau on Tuesday evening.

Rioting took place in Roseau on Tuesday after a meeting of the united Workers Party which called for the resignation of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.

McKenzie told a conference of the Dominica Business Forum at Fort Young Hotel on Friday, that every business place should condemn the onslaught in Roseau.

Meantime, police say their investigations continue into Tuesday’s disturbances as 32 people were picked up for questioning in connection with the vandalism.
