Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is leading a delegation of Government Ministers and farmers to the Agri-Investment forum and Expo in Guyana .
The forum which runs from May 19 to 21 is hosted by the Government of Guyana and the CARICOM Secretariat in Guyana, under the theme “Investing in Vision 25 by 2025.”

The event is a follow-up to discussions at the 33rd Inter-sessional Conference of Heads of Government held in Belize in March, which focused on efforts to reduce the region’s food import bill and attract investment to the agriculture sector.

Heads of government and members of delegations will address issues linked to investment in agriculture and food production, including cross-border investment, climate smart agriculture and related infrastructural development.

The Dominican delegation will include Minister of Trade, Commerce Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business and Export Development Ian Douglas,
Minister of Blue and Green Economy, Agriculture and National Food Security Fidel Grant, Salisbury Farmer Hillary Shillingford, CARICOM farmer of the year for 2021 Deles Warrington of Calibishie and other commercial farmers.
