General Secretary of the Public Service Union, Thomas Letang has denied charges that the Union is involved in partisan politics.
Letang addressed the matter last week, while announcing that an agreement was reached with Government over salary increase.
Meantime, a one off payment equivalent to two months salary for public officers is among the package agreed for salary increase.
There is also a three percent salary increase for 2O17-2O18.
A grant of $2O, OOO for training, another grant of $8O,OOO for the unions revolving fund and a grant of $236, OOO towards the Union’s medical fund and health insurance are among the non salary matters agreed upon.
