RBC Releases Government’s Citizenship By Investment Account

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has confirmed that Royal Bank Of Canada has decided not to maintain government’s citizenship by investment account at the bank, and says that the funds have since been moved to the National Bank Of Dominica.

Prime Minister’s remarks came in response to a question by the Leader of the Opposition on the status of government’s CBI account at the royal bank on Tuesday at parliament.

The Prime Minister says that the RBC did not give any specific reason for not wanting to maintain the account.

The Prime Minister also disclosed that over $300M was deposited in the CBI account from the period July 2016 to March 2017.
