Defense counsel David Bruney says he intends to appeal a court ruling, after his client Rudy Junior Jones of Marigot was found guilty with murder at the High court on Wednesday.
Jones was on trial for the August 24, 2O12 stabbing death of Falcon Wallace in Marigot.
The accused said in court he was under threat of being robbed when he passed a knife on the deceased but the seven woman, two man jury saw the matter differently.
The prosecution did not comment , but defense counsel David Bruney spoke to the media after the guilty verdict.
The accused Rudy Junior Jones is now on remand at Stockfarm prison.
Sentencing will take place late in June pending a social inquiry report.
