Opposition Senator Lorraine Henderson-Reid has called for a full revamp of the National Employment Program, the NEP.
She made the appeal during Tuesday’s parliamentary debate on supplementary estimates totalling more than 108 million dollars.
Opposition Senator Henderson-Reid said the government must take a closer look at the NEP, noting that workers who have already completed their training stages should be given clearer pathways for advancement and long-term employment.
