Solar Street Light Project Underway

A project is underway to install 2,500 solar street lights around the island.

In his Independence Day address to the nation, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said the lights are a gift from the People’s Republic of China.

He says the People’s Republic of China will also undertake rehabilitation works on the E.O LeBlanc Highway.

He also announced that plans are well underway for the resettlement of residents of Petite Savanne who were displaced by Tropical Storm Erika last year.
