St. Johns Primary Wins National Reading Competition

8 Year old Kenelly Baron of St. Johns Primary of Portsmouth has stolen the show to the 2017 DBS, Ministry of Education, Courts sponsored reading title.

She beat a field of ten other competitors in the finals.

Her mother Glenda Smith says her success at the finals we never in doubt.

In second place were Noah Sorhaindo of Pioneer Prep and Joshua Burkhardt of Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Khobie Darroux of Convent Prep placed 4th and Shantay Avril of Eberneeza SDA placed 5th.

DBS Manager, Cecil Joseph said the competition lived up to expectation.

The founder of the DBS Radio, Ministry of Education, Courts sponsored reading competition, Felix Henderson was recognised by DBS during yesterday’s finals.
