St. Mary’s Academy Students Benefit from Sons of SMA Memorial Scholarship Fund

Two students of the St. Mary’s Academy have benefited from the inaugural Sons of SMA Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Sons of SMA Memorial Foundation, a non- profit organisation founded in Houston, Texas launched the scholarship fund in memory of past teacher Adrien Durand the past principal Cuthbert Elwin who have both passed away.

At a ceremony on Monday, the organisation presented a total of $4,000 in scholarship to Kyron Phillips and Dyami Alexander.

Principal of SMA, Thomas Holmes urged the recipients to show their gratitude with action.

Meantime, Jovanni Burgins received a merit award from the Sons of SMA Foundation as a form of recognition of his academic and sporting potential.
