Education Minister Octavia Alfred has told the 2023 school leaving ceremony of the Dominica Community High School, they need to strive for progress.
The school leaving ceremony for nine students was held this morning under the theme, ‘Strive for Progress, Thrive in Success’.
Sixteen year old Rupert Kirby of Canefield was named Student of the Year.
He took awards for English Language, Agricultural Science, Human and Social Biology and Caribbean History.
Among top students was Rael Robinson who received awards for Agricultural Science, English Language, Speech and Drama and Health and Family Life Education.
He was also named the Most Improved Student.
