The proposed development of a synthetic track and an Olympic-size swimming pool at Point Round has taken another major step forward.
A delegation of stakeholders conducted a site visit to the proposed location on Wednesday, signaling continued progress on the project.
Minister of State with responsibility for sports, Senator Oscar George, joined government officials, representatives from World Athletics, and members of the Dominica Athletics Association as part of the touring team.
Senator George noted that the next phase involves creating a comprehensive master plan for the project.
Senator George says this master plan is expected to be completed within 8 to 10 weeks.

Meanwhile, President of the Dominica Athletics Association, Brendan Williams, described the development as a significant milestone for track and field in Dominica.
