Team Weekes With Advantage on Day 3

Some lower order resistance has given the Team Weekes the advantage heading into day 3 of their tri series match with the Headly XI in Antigua.

The Weekes XI were in all sorts of trouble at 125-6, but a half century from Devon Thomas and some contributions from the lower order saw them through to a decent first innings total.

Thomas got 57, Alick Athanaze 37, Verrasammy Permaul 35 as the Weekes XI posted 235.

Kavem Hodge picked up 3-46, Anderson Phillip 2-44.

The Headly XI reached 67-2 at stumps.

Matthew Nandu was not out on 28 and Kavem Hodge made 26.

Dominic Drakes has 1-7 so far for the Weekes XI.

The scores so far Team Headly 177 and 67-2.

Headly XI leads by 9 runs with 8 wickets in hand.
