The Dominican Parliament has been called on to ratify the United Nations Framework for River Protection

Chairperson of the World Rivers Day Committee, Father Franklyn Cuffy, has reiterated the need for the ratification of the United Nations Framework for River Protection, with a specific emphasis on observing World Rivers Day.

Father Cuffy, a leading advocate for river protection in Dominica, is concerned about the inadequate measures taken to protect the island’s waterways.

He also urges the government to implement the necessary legislation to protect Dominica’s waterways.
