The Girl Guides Association of Dominica has a New President

Broadcaster Josette Seraphine Hedrington  also took up the position of  international commissioner at the annual general meeting held recently.

Cecilia Christmas is vice president Cee Ann Lafond is secretary and Mara Abraham , is treasurer assistant secretary training  commissioner Marcia Dublin, brownie commissioner Alicia Griffith  and Anmarie Graneau deputy brownie commissioner.

Speaker Emerita Alix boyd knights  was the featured speaker at the Annual General Meeting and spoke on the theme  its  our world , our equal future , the role of guiding  in gender equality  and the environment. As a former guide Mrs knights brought to light her experience in her field and encouraged everyone especially the young ladies to strive to be the best at whatever tasks they undertake.

Leaders were recognized by chief commissioner Valencia Webb for their hard work with the girls.

The position of President and vice president were the only positions up for grabs at the election.
