The winners of the DBS Anniversary Competitions have been awarded.

Six students were awarded as winners of two DBS Anniversary Competitions.

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, DBS held a Creole Impromptu Competition and an Essay Competition titled “In the Age of Social Media, is Radio Still Relevant?”

Lorique Joseph of the Castle Bruce Primary School was awarded the first place prize for the Creole Impromptu Competition, while Mia Bruno of the Dominica State College was awarded $1,000 as winner of the Essay Competition.

For the Creole Impromptu Competition, Lauric Joseph- Laurent of the Castle Bruce Primary came in first place. Destiny George of the Petite Savanne Primary School placed second, and Jadien Caesar copped the third place prize.

In the Essay Competition, Mia Bruno of the Dominica State College won first place, while Jemima Mills of the Lead Institute place second. Akira Joseph of the Dominica State College came in at third place.
