Tourism Director Colin Piper says organisers of the World Creole Music Festival are delighted with the results of the 19th edition.
Pop artist Akon brought the curtain down on the 2016 festival on Monday and before him Michel Henderson, Gentleman, Ti- Mickey and Breve.
Piper says the DFC has taken away many positive aspects this year.
He says the opening night of the festival may have been the biggest in several years.
One of the acts on the final evening was bouyon artist Asa Bantan.
His energetic performance included a show case of Dominica’s carnival and he told DBS News this may have been his best presentation ever in Dominica.
Another Dominican Artist, Ophelia also incorporated several different elements in her presentation on Saturday and she said she was satisfied with the outcome.
Dominican band Breve opened the show last night and lead singer Jade Leatham said the band was pleased with its final product.
