High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Dominica Her Excellency Janet Elizabeth Douglas says the United Kingdom has pledged 65 million pounds towards Dominica’s rehabilitation efforts following Hurricane Maria.
The New UK High Commissioner made the remarks when she presented her credentials to the President of Dominica His Excellency Charles Savarin.
The UK High Commissioner to Dominica also says the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting which will take place in London in April is another top priority of the United Kingdom.
Meantime President of Dominica Charles Savarin says Dominica and the United Kingdom have a collective responsibility to combat the threats to regional security and the adverse effects of climate change, which puts the well being of the region’s people at risk.
