Main contractor for the Windsor Park lighting project, Rajnesh Walia, says work on the long-awaited upgrade is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed within the next few months.
Speaking to members of the media during a recent site visit, Walia explained that the bulk of the preparatory work has already been finalized.
He added that the lighting poles and other key infrastructure are scheduled to arrive on island this week.
According to Walia, the new lighting system will meet top international standards.
Meanwhile, Minister of State with responsibility for Sports, Senator Oscar George, acknowledged that while the project experienced some delays, significant progress is now being made.
