10 people have now been arrested in connection with what police said was an illegal protest action on March 19

Six people including former Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau North Constituency Danny Lugay have been taken into custody by police, as their investigations into the March 19 protest action in Roseau continue.

Police confirm that the six people were arrested on suspicion on Tuesday for unlawful assembly under the Riot Act.

During the March 19 protest action outside Pebbles Park, police clashed with protesters forcing law officers to use tear gas to disperse protesters.

The Electoral Reform Coalition organized what they called a peaceful protest against three Electoral Reform Bills which were debated in Parliament on that day.

Just on Monday night, former Salisbury MP Hector John and two others were released on bail of $30,000 dollars in connection with the protest action.

Another man, Samuel Durand of Castle-Bruce who resides at Bath Estate was arrested in connection with the protest, but was denied bail.

So far 10 people have been arrested in connection with what police said was an illegal protest action.
