
Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Development Senator Oscar George has told 4-H Clubs in Dominica to join the fight against youth violence and drugs.
His call came at the national 4-H awards ceremony.
Senator George said the 4-H Club presents many opportunities for the youth.
Senator George told the 4-H clubs that the awards ceremony should serve as an impetus to continue their service

Meanwhile, Convent High school took the Roosevelt Skerrit Secondary Schools 4-H Club of the year title.
In second place was St Mary’s Academy and third place St Martin Secondary School.
The primary schools title was won by Convent Prep with Grandbay Primary in second place.
St Mary’s Primary placed third, Coulibistrie Primary 4th and St Luke’s Primary in fifth.
These were among several awards presented at the National 4-H Club awards ceremony at the State House Conference Centre.
Among the awards presented were public speaking awards to Saint Mary’s Academy and St Luke’s Primary, largest primary school club award of the year to Convent Prep and for the secondary school Dominica Grammar School.
The secondary school local leader award went to Vanessa Seraphine Williams of St Martin Secondary School and the primary school Excellence in Leadership Award to Mrs. Zamoore of Convent Prep.
Over 100 awards were presented to 4-H clubs and teachers.
