A by-election for the Roseau City Council is set for August 18 2026.
The by-election became necessary after the former Mayor of Roseau, Sandra Irmine Royer, forfeited her seat on the Roseau City Council.
Sandra Ermine Royer, who contested Ward One in the 2026 Roseau City Council elections, received 208 votes, the highest among the other candidates in that ward.
In accordance with the Roseau City Council Act, a by-election will be held to fill the vacant position.
The by-election will be held in Ward One.
Nomination Day is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
If the poll is contested, the election will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, and the final count will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
