A former customs officer was shot dead on Tuesday

Former Customs Officer Garneth Jolly has been shot dead.

Jolly was shot at Everton Estate in Loubiere where he lived, around 12 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon.

Police confirm that the Major Crime Unit has begun investigation into the incident.

Police say the motive for the shooting death is not yet known.

This is the second homicide for the year.

35-year-old Chervon Devon Larocque of Salisbury was stabbed to death following an altercation with an unidentified suspect on Saturday 11 January.
