A Salisbury Farmer has been named 2025 Farmer of the year

Salisbury farmer  Stephan Jno Jules has been named Dominica’s farmer of the year for  2O25.

Jno Jules was among several in the agricultural and fisheries sectors recognised yesterday by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy.

Among the awards presented were crop farmer of the year Peter Vanty Vidal, Lifestock farmer of the year Pearl Langford and horticulture farmer of the year Dian Peter Douglas.

The YOUNG fisher of the year, Shannon Darroux, Aquaculture farmer of the year, George Fontaine and mariculture farmer of the year, Toucari Seamoss group.

Outstanding primary school in agriculture, Dublanc Primary and outstanding secondary school, Castle Bruce Secondary and beekeeper of the year, Dr Cyril Robinson.

Meantime, Acting Prime Minister Dr Irving McIntrye says Dominica will maintain a focus on agriculture.
