Acting Police Chief Davidson Valerie has been given the greenlight for a new acting appointment until March 31, 2025
His previous acting appointment expired on December 31, 2024.
Mr. Valerie was first made acting chief in January 2O24 after police chief Daniel Carbon went on pre-retirement leave.
Mr. Valerie says he is grateful for the opportunity to serve in the position. He told DBS News that it is an honor to be the top cop in Dominica.
He added that he is committed to the task at hand and will use the resources available to create a safer environment for all Dominicans and visitors.
