An increased number of police officers expected to be on duty during the World Creole Music Festival

Deputy Police Chief Lincoln Corbette has announced that an increased number of police officers will be on duty during the World Creole Music Festival.

He says rest days for officers have been cancelled for the weekend.

The 24th World Creole Music Festival opens at Windsor Park on Friday evening

Meantime Assistant Commissioner of Police Jeffrey James says the police will establish a Venue Operations Centre at Windsor Park to assist patrons of the World Creole Music Festival.

He says the police will exercise a zero tolerance for prohibited items as patrons’ access Windsor Park Stadium.
