An over 1-million dollar emergency operating Theatre has been officially commissioned at the Accident and Emergency Department of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit told the official Commissioning ceremony on Thursday that the facility will improve the efficiency of quality emergency care to citizens.
The facility is funded by the Maria Holder Memorial Trust.

Mr. Skerrit also proposed that the new emergency operating theatre be named after the trust.

Meanwhile, co-founder and chair of the Maria Holder Memorial Trust, Christopher Holder, says contribution to the development of healthcare is a priority for the trust.
