Bishop of Roseau Most Reverend Kendrick J Forbes is hopeful the new Pope will be a beacon of hope and unity.
On Thursday, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, who has chosen the name Leo XIV, of the United States was elected as the new Pope.
He replaces Pope Francis who passed recently.
