A community leader of Laplaine, cultural enthusiast and sports person has been sashed Cultural Elder for 2024.
Hilda Prosper was sashed during Heritage Day in Laplaine on Sunday.

Three other awards were presented to residents of Laplaine during Heritage Day.
The awards went to Hartman Cuffy for entrepreneurship and small business, Biko Williams for sports and Chaucer Baron for farming.
