DASPA issues statement on an incident involving a missing 4-seater Cessna 172 aircraft on route to Martinique

The Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) has issued a statement on an incident involving a missing 4-seater Cessna 172 aircraft which departed Douglas-Charles Airport at 3:46 pm Sunday January 26th, on route to Martinique.

According to a press release from DASPA, communication with the aircraft was lost after departure and all relevant local and French emergency response teams are currently working to locate it.

The release notes that rescue efforts are in progress and DASPA confirms that the safety of the passenger and crew is paramount at this time.
